Bespoke Jewellery for Life’s Big Moments
There’s something special about wearing a piece of jewellery made just for you. It’s not just about the metal or stones, it’s about the story, the meaning, and the care that goes into every detail.
Bespoke jewellery is a journey, one that starts with a simple idea and unfolds into something personal and beautiful.
In this post, I’ll take you behind the scenes of some recent commissions. You’ll see how ideas evolve, how choices about design and materials shape each piece, and how collaboration brings your vision to life.
Whether you’re thinking about a bespoke commission yourself or just curious about the process, this is where you get a closer look at what happens when creativity meets craftsmanship.
Floating Birthstone Pendant: A Personal Touch for a Bride-to-Be
I had the absolute pleasure of creating a bespoke silver jewellery set for a wonderful bride-to-be. She wanted something truly unique to wear on her wedding day. A piece that would feel personal and meaningful, not just beautiful.

After chatting about her ideas, we decided to incorporate her birthstone, aquamarine. This choice added an elegant and deeply personal touch to the solid recycled silver set. The soft (something) blue of the aquamarine seemed to capture the calm and joy of the moment perfectly.
The pendant was designed to appear as if the stone was gently floating, held delicately within the silver tube setting. Simple, refined, and full of intention.

Custom Pendant for Son: A Musical Milestone in Silver
This commission was a real treat - a handcrafted silver guitar pick pendant, created as a meaningful 18th birthday gift from father to son. The recipient is a musician, so the brief was to design something symbolic, personal, and wearable.

As a fellow music lover, I was especially excited to take this on. We worked closely on the design, and together came up with a piece that felt both thoughtful and bold. The grooves etched into the silver represent guitar strings and the music played on them. Each line slightly different, yet all part of the same rhythm. Just like a song.

This pendant suspended on belcher chain was made from solid recycled sterling silver, designed to last and carry significance for years to come. A powerful piece marking a milestone moment.
I want to thank the artist for her imagination and the jewel is a piece of art. Through my experience, I recommend MDK Jewellery with all confidence, especially for unique jewellery for special people, let the freedom of creation find itself in precious metal. Thank you again! — Marius
Shamrock Clover Charm: A Tiny Symbol with Big Meaning
This custom clover charm was a small piece with a lot of heart behind it. Commissioned as a birthday gift, symbolising love, connection, and strength between sisters. A quiet but powerful gesture. Even more special, the charm was designed to echo a tattoo one of them already had, making it deeply personal from the start.

We explored a few different directions together: a full bangle with a charm, an open cuff with clover and leaf ends… but in the end, we pared it back to just the charm. Simple, meaningful, and designed to be worn on an existing bracelet. A subtle nod to their bond.

Handmade in recycled silver, this piece proves that sometimes the most meaningful commissions are also the most minimal.
Custom Bracelet for Daughter: A Playful and Meaningful Keepsake
This silver bracelet was specially commissioned as a gift for a little girl celebrating her First Communion. A truly important day.
The client wanted something meaningful but also age-appropriate and fun.

I designed the charms to be a little wonky and almost cartoonish, giving them a playful, childlike feel while still carrying thoughtful symbolism.
Each charm tells a story, capturing the significance of the occasion without feeling too serious or grown-up.

The result is a bracelet that’s both personal and full of life. A joyful keepsake she can treasure as she grows.
You can commission a bespoke piece of jewellery for yourself or as a meaningful gift for someone special. And if you’re not sure how to put your ideas into words that’s absolutely fine. We’ll work together to shape your thoughts into something beautiful and lasting.
