Bespoke Jewellery Commission
Jewellery commissioning
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want something uniquely yours, commissioning allows you to have a piece of jewellery that is truly special and meaningful.
What is jewellery commissioning?
Commissioning jewellery might sound a bit formal, but really, it’s just a conversation. It starts with an idea, a person, a moment, a feeling you want to capture, and together we’ll turn it into something wearable, personal, and beautifully made just for you.
You don’t need to arrive with a full design in mind. Maybe it’s a memory you want to honour. A milestone you want to mark. Or simply a piece that feels like you. We’ll chat about what matters to you, what kind of style you’re drawn to, and how you want the piece to feel when you wear it.
The process is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to you. No pressure, no jargon. Just honest conversation and beautiful craftsmanship.

Time and Pricing for Custom Orders
Most bespoke pieces take around 5–8 weeks from start to finish. This allows time for design development, sourcing materials (and stones, if needed), consultations, and any final tweaks before the piece is complete.
Pricing varies depending on the design, materials, and work involved. Once we’ve agreed on the final design, I’ll send over a quote by email. A 50% deposit is required before I begin making your piece. This covers materials and the time spent bringing your commission to life. Please note the deposit is non-refundable once production has started.
The remaining balance is due before your piece is shipped, or upon collection if you’re local.

How to enquire about commission?
If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind jewellery and my style speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just a rough idea, a special date, or a feeling you want the piece to capture. The first step is simply getting in touch. From there, we can start a conversation, explore ideas, and see if it’s the right fit.
To begin, just fill in the bespoke enquiry form with as much information as you can. I’ll be in touch within a few days to talk things through.

My design approach and jewellery style
If you’re not quite sure how to put your ideas into words, don’t worry, that’s really common. A great place to start is by browsing my existing collections. Are there certain shapes, textures or details you’re drawn to? Let me know. We can pull elements from those designs into your commission, or use them as a jumping-off point.
It also helps to gather any photos, references or bits of inspiration that capture the feeling or style you’re after. This gives me a clearer sense of direction, even if it’s still a bit vague at the start.
We’ll chat through everything - design, materials, gemstones - either over email or phone. From there, I’ll create sketches or mock up parts of the design in brass, so you can see how it’s coming together. You’ll be involved at every step, and we’ll refine the design together until it feels just right.

Timings and availability
I take on a limited number of bespoke commissions. Usually no more than two per month to make sure each piece gets the time and attention it deserves. Because of this, my availability can book up quickly, especially around busy times of year.
If you’re thinking about commissioning a piece, it’s best to get in touch as early as you can to reserve your spot in the calendar. Even if you’re not quite ready to start, I’m happy to pencil you in or chat through timings so we can plan ahead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know my ring size before enquiring?
Not necessarily. If you do know it, great! If not, most local jewellers can measure your finger, or I can guide you through options, especially if it’s a surprise.
Can you use stones or silver I already have?
Yes, I’m happy to work with any precious metals or gemstones you want to include. Just mention it in your enquiry.
What if I’m not sure what I want yet?
That’s absolutely fine. Many commissions start with a simple idea or feeling. I’m here to help you shape it into something beautiful.
How do you handle changes during the process?
We collaborate closely, and I’m happy to make adjustments as we go. Once production starts, major changes can be tricky, but we’ll discuss everything clearly beforehand.
Can I collect my piece in person?
Yes! If you’re local, you can arrange to collect your jewellery directly from me.
